Salt Nicotine vs. Freebase Nicotine
Salt nicotine is the naturally occurring form of nicotine found in tobacco leaves. It exists in a protonated (acidic) state, which produces a smoother throat sensation compared to freebase nicotine at equivalent concentrations. Freebase nicotine undergoes a de-protonation process that raises its pH, making it more volatile and suitable for high-wattage, sub-ohm devices — but harsher at elevated nicotine levels.
Salt nicotine e-liquids are formulated for use in high-resistance, low-wattage devices. The protonated ion structure allows higher nicotine concentrations (such as 20mg/mL) to be inhaled with reduced harshness compared to freebase formulations at the same strength.
Compatible Devices
This e-liquid is intended for use in high-resistance (above 1.0 ohm), low-wattage pod systems and mouth-to-lung (MTL) devices. It is not formulated for sub-ohm tanks or high-wattage direct-lung setups.
Important Usage Tip
Salt nicotine e-liquids are not compatible with sub-ohm tanks or high-wattage devices. Use only with low-wattage pod systems rated above 1.0 ohm resistance. Using this product in an incompatible device may result in an unpleasant experience due to excessive nicotine delivery.
