If you've spent any time searching for replacement pods for your UWELL Caliburn device lately, you've probably felt like you needed a decoding ring.

First, the pods you knew as Caliburn G3 pods were suddenly listed as Caliburn GPP pods (same pods, different name). Then UWELL introduced a 3ml GPP pod, followed by a single-pack GPP ALPHA pod.
To make matters worse, half the reviews and videos online talk about side-fill pods that you can't even buy at your local Canadian vape shop!
If this sounds familiar, don't worry — you aren't crazy, and your device isn't obsolete. Read our breakdown of the UWELL CALIBURN pod lineup, where we clarify the names, and help you pick the exact right pod for your device.

1. The Rebrand: Caliburn G3 Pods vs. Caliburn GPP Pods
The Short Answer: Caliburn G3 pods and Caliburn GPP pods are the exact same thing.
When UWELL launched the Caliburn G3 device, the called the replacement pods "Caliburn G3 Pods". However, as UWELL started releasing newer devices build on the same pod architecture (like the Caliburn G3 Lite, G3 Pro, and newer G-series devices), they rebranded the pod line to GPP, which stands for G Pod Platform.
-
Old Name: Caliburn G3 Pods (4-pack, 2mL)
-
New Name: Caliburn GPP Pods (4-pack, available in 2mL and 3mL)
If you own an original Caliburn G3 and buy a box labeled Caliburn GPP, they will click right into your device and work identically.

2. Standard GPP vs. The New Caliburn GPP ALPHA Pod
Once UWELL established the GPP name, they introduced an upgraded option: the Caliburn GPP ALPHA pod.
While both the standard GPP pods and the GPP ALPHA pods fit the same devices, there are key differences:
Standard Caliburn GPP Pods
- Packaging: Sold in 4-packs
- Capacity Options: 2mL or 3mL
- Technology: UWELL's standard mesh coil with U² anti-leak seal technology
- Mouthpiece: Hard plastic snap-off drip tip

Upgraded Caliburn GPP ALPHA Pods
- Packaging: Sold individually
- Capacity: 3mL standard
- Technology: Built with Uwell's AlphaCore Mesh Technology, engineered for significantly longer coil lifespan (rated for up to ~17 refills or 50 mL of e-liquid)
- Mouthpiece: Upgraded soft-touch TPU material for a more comfortable draw

3. Why Can't I Find Side-Fill Caliburn Pods in Canada?
If you search for UWELL GPP pods on YouTube or Reddit, you will see a lot of people talking about side-fill pods with a rubber stopper on the side.
If you live in Canada, you won't find side-fill pods in official stores, and here's why:
Under Canadian Child-Resistant Container (CRC) regulations, vape pods sold legally in Canada must meet strict child-safety standards. UWELL complies with Canadian CRC laws by using a top-fill system (where you snap off the black mouthpiece cap to access a spring-loaded fill valve).
- International Markets: Offer side-fill pods with rubber plugs
- Canadian Market (CRC Compliant): Offers top-fill pods with snap-off caps
Every official Canadian GPP and GPP ALPHA pod uses the child-resistant top-fill mechanism.
