Appropriately named

The nautical brand "Rope Cut" is appropriate, as Dark Thirty is reminiscent of cheap dark sailor's rum with a hint of an equally cheap wench that you kicked out in the middle of the night. It hits the throat like a hand rolled cigarillo that you accidentally swallowed in a bar fight during shore leave. This is the flavour for the working man, the hardened sailor, and a true salty tar. If you're more of an officer than a sailor, you may want to check out Rope Cut's "Skipper" instead.
