This particular version of the SXK billet box is very unreliable. I ordered one that was defective out of the box. Gas City Vapes worked with me to get a replacement device and after 1 month the replacement fires the battery non-stop without even holding the button. This is very dangerous and even if the board has protections on it to protect from the battery melting down, I cant trust it because 2/2 devices have proven to be unreliable. I have owned the metal SXK Billet boxes with DNA chips and those seem to be a much more reliable device. Don't waste your money on this one. It is not a quality device and has been a big waste of money.
Solid billet box. Mine has been working great.
I would like to give an update, i removed the board and screen to see if juice had gotten into anything, and i did notice the screws on the screen side were loose. There was no juice in the board area but there was just a little on the screen. I assume the loose screws let the juice seep in. So i cleaned everything and reassembled it and it is working great. Even better than new, it isn't spiking the watts anymore. So i would like to rate this thing a little higher. If buying one i would check all the screws before using. I think it is worth the money.
I totally loved this thing at first, then i started noticing it would randomly fire at high wattages and get burnt hits, and yesterday it decided to quit firing all together unless trying to change the wattage, then it starts firing and the only way to stop it is to remove the battery. And pressing the wattage buttons dont do anything except try to fire it. So now it is useless. Also the plastic around the drip tip cracked and i have never dropped it.
Bought from elsewhere but an honest review of the device.
I have received tried to use the device but there are some problems with it. They do not take the same care as with the DNA 60 version, and the base connection plate is not set or sealed inside the unit. The connection pin sits loose and can come out on its own. This has caused bad connections/misreading, shorts and jumps in ohms. Some people have said this is the same with all 70w versions of sxk billet boxes. I've been advised to use a silicon glue to seal the base connection into place and prevent leaking into the circuit board. I have found only 1 of my tanks connects rights. I am pretty upset as this was delayed over 2 months because of problems with the unit, turns out they didn't fix all the problems. This being a big one. Make or break.
